The Animalis Fabula Jury has selected The Message of the Lyrebird as Best of Fest for January, 2022. The film is now invited as a finalist to compete for inclusion in the annual Animalis Fabula Film Festival.

Animalis Fabula or “AniFab” is a festival that loves movies, and animals, and people, and most of all, they love them all together!

“A huge issue in storytelling through film, is how we include animals in the story,” says festival founder Tom McPhee.

“Animals are all around us, all the time. The question is, how do you represent them in your story? A good filmmaker will find ways to include the living universe that surrounds the world people live in every day. These types of stories are more authentic,” Tom states on the Anifab website.

Anifab is an initiative born out of the World Animal Awareness Society which is about the animals people save and the people saving them.

Throughout the course of the year we will post updates on the November event and the possible inclusion of The Message of the Lyrebird.

The live, in-person event is scheduled for November 25 - 27, 2022 in Austin, Texas. Click below for updates about the festival.
