A cool bird film in California: SFFFF2022

San Francisco Frozen Film Festival awarded “Top 25 Coolest Film Festival in the World” by Moviemaker Magazine.

In its 16th annual celebration, the San Francisco Frozen Film Festival had over 900 films submitted and so this was a great honour for The Message of the Lyrebird to be officially selected in the Californian indie cinema scene.

Lyrebird was included in the Best Feature Documentary category and was up against 12 other exceptional and thought-provoking stories. SFFFF2022 included a incredible collection of over 175 films from over 47 countries, including inspiring feature documentaries, impressive experimental and virtual reality films, shorts of every genre, from comedy to sci-fi and drama.

The festival has historically screened their films at the famous Roxy Theatre, which brings filmmakers from around the world to San Francisco to celebrate the power of cinema and art. However this year, the festival decided to go online due to public health venue restrictions.

Here are the winning films judged from this year’s San Francisco Frozen Film Festival 13-17 July, 2022.
