‘Lyrebird’ wins Bronze Honour at ACS Awards

The Victorian and Tasmanian ACS Awards for cinematography handed out its top prizes in visual storytelling at the 55th annual event, held virtually on Saturday 13 November 2021 at the State Library, Melbourne. 

Nick Hayward became the Bronze Honour recipient of the Ron Taylor AM ACS & Valerie Taylor AM Wildlife & Nature Award for his compelling visual filmmaking on The Message of the Lyrebird. 

Nick was also saluted for his stellar work on Quoll Farm, where he won the Silver Honour in the same category.

The career achievement clearly demonstrates Nick’s dedication in advancing knowledge of Australian wildlife and delivering a deeper understanding of nature into the hearts and minds of humanity.

The ACS state awards had more entries than ever before making the challenge of judging even tougher than usual. The judging panel was made up of Ernie Clark ACS, Brent Crockett ACS, Peter Curtis ACS, Katie Millwright ACS and Susan Stitt ACS.
